pray.love.

dear daisy,

today was the first day of the semester and on today's meeting everyone shared their stories of their summer experience. i had the most incredible journey in thailand for three weeks learning on design process, working in agricultural settings and lived with a local to truly feel the life and times of thais. one of the most interesting person i met was a 65 year old american, mit alumni, was a strategic game designer / and ikea kitchen designer - whom i enjoyed playing board games with after dinner. he even quoted st. antoine du exupery's little prince, what is essential is invisible to the eyes. and added, what is important now, is the move that i haven't made yet. i still hold the key to any possibilities. my next move will determine the outcome of the game.

"yeah, bring it on"

i never actually won any of the games. perhaps we will have a rematch when he comes for a visit.

i'm not truly a gamer, i only jumped in when my nieces and nephews invited me to play with them. often, i lost to them but that didn't matter a lot because loser always had to buy ice creams and bring them out for movies.  i miss them very much. i miss my friends. i miss my family a lot. i miss a lot of people too. the song, million years ago, by adele resonates so much with my recent visit to home last month.
